As one of the world's largest trade fairs for computer and video games, Gamescom brings together top developers, publishers, gamers, and media, serving as a key window for observing global gaming trends and fostering international exchange and cooperation. At the Koelnmesse, the Zhejiang booth brought together leading enterprises and institutions including NetEase, Dianhun Network, Haotang Technology, Zoland Animation, Xuanji Technology, Huace Film & TV, and Hengdian Film and Television Production, showcasing the latest integrated developments in Zhejiang's gaming, film, and cultural tourism sectors.

The exhibition featured numerous highlights: NetEase's new title Project Mugen unveiled its release date trailer at Opening Night Live; Planet Party Time and Sword of Justice skillfully integrated iconic Zhejiang landmarks such as the West Lake and Wuzhen Town, as well as Song‑style intangible cultural heritage, into their digital worlds, allowing overseas players to immerse themselves in the Jiangnan aesthetic through virtual scenes. At the booth, The Defiant told the stories of ordinary heroes during the Chinese People's War of Resistance through cinematic narrative; the live gameplay demo of Black Myth: Zhong Ku drew many visitors to stop and experience it; Along the River During the Qingming Festival: I Am a Figure in the Painting revived the bustling life of the Song Dynasty through live‑action and short‑drama formats; and the MR (mixed reality) project "Panda's Global Journey" led visitors on a cross‑border adventure with a virtual panda. In addition, cutting‑edge technologies such as AIGC and virtual production were also on display, fully demonstrating Zhejiang enterprises' multifaceted exploration from content creation to technological application.

The Zhejiang enterprises featured at Gamescom are but a microcosm of the province's booming gaming industry. From exporting products to exporting IP, culture, and technology, an increasing number of Zhejiang‑developed games are accelerating their global reach, enabling players worldwide to experience a more vibrant and culturally rich Zhejiang through virtual scenarios and interactive experiences.

It is reported that the "Gaming Without Borders, Meet in Zhejiang" promotional activities will continue until August 28. During this period, a series of events including enterprise‑specific promotion sessions, game trial plays, and intangible cultural heritage experiences will be held, further building bridges for in‑depth communication and practical cooperation between Zhejiang's gaming industry and the international market.
